- Is kidsDMExchange.org responsible for arranging exchanges?
No, we simply provide the free listings so that you can find the equipment/supplies you are looking for. Once you have found what you need, you will be able to contact the "listing party" directly via e-mail.
- If I am not located in the same city or state, can I still participate?
Of course! We're based out of Andover, Kansas but our hope is that this website will be utilized throughout the United States. The more people who participate, the more equipment you'll be able to find. So, if you get in contact with a "listing party" who is not in your area, you can make shipping arrangements with that person.
- Who is responsible for shipping items?
That is up to both parties. The "listing party" may wish to pay for shipping. If not, you can arrange shipping with Cash on Delivery as a form of payment.
- Can I actually sell items on your website?
As of yet, no. This has been established as a site for free listings of free durable medical supplies so that we can continue to recycle what our children no longer need. However, if you are interested in selling your child's "high ticket" durable medical equipment that you actually purchased (no assistance from organizations, churches, etc.), this is something we are considering. Please contact us with your suggestions, comments and thoughts so that we can make this website as helpful and user-friendly as possible.
- Does this website make specific recommendations for equipment for my child?
No. However, we recommend that you contact either your primary care physician, your child's pediatrician or therapist regarding special needs and any equipment that you wish to obtain.
- Are Safe Exchange Sites affiliated with your website?
Safe Exchange Sites are businesses willing to lend a safe place for users to make "local exchanges." They in no way are endorsing this site or equipment exchanged. They are utilizing this site as a way to help others and make exchanges as safe as possible
